As we step into a new season, I’m filled with gratitude and optimism for the future of the Central Oregon Center for the Arts. This past quarter has been one of meaningful progress, thoughtful conversations and continued momentum toward realizing a shared dream: a vibrant, inclusive home for the arts in our region.
On behalf of our entire team, thank you for standing with us. Your belief in this mission—and your willingness to spread the word—continues to make all the difference. As we look ahead, we invite you to share COCA’s story with fellow arts enthusiasts, community leaders and anyone who believes that Central Oregon deserves more opportunities to experience world-class performing arts close to home.

Progress Update: Building Momentum, Step by Step
We’re excited to share that early funding—made possible by the support of our generous community and the dedication of our Fundraising Task Force—is already at work helping shape the future of COCA. These initial investments have allowed us to begin two essential planning efforts designed to ensure a thoughtful and successful path forward.
Our fundraising feasibility study, led by consultant John Jepson, is currently underway and engaging regional partners, donors and community leaders to explore long-term support and collaboration. In tandem, we’ve launched a comprehensive Site Evaluation Analysis to determine the best possible location for COCA to call home.
These intentional, behind-the-scenes efforts are laying the groundwork for a sustainable, community-rooted future for the arts in Central Oregon. We look forward to sharing more as this work continues—and we’re deeply grateful to all who are helping to bring this vision to life.
Community Connections Strengthened at Spring Cultivation Gathering
On May 15th, we gathered with a wonderful group of arts advocates for an evening full of connection, conversation and creative energy in support of the Central Oregon Center for the Arts.
The feedback shared during the evening was not only thoughtful—it sparked meaningful ideas around community support, funding potential and even the history of similar efforts. It was a clear reminder that it truly takes a village to bring a vision like this to life, and we’re proud to be building that village with care and intention.
A heartfelt thank you to all who joined us, and to our gracious hosts, Ron Kardashian and David Petrovay. Events like this strengthen the foundation we’re building together—one step closer to making COCA a reality.
